Dorothy Marie Andreiuolo Sitterly, 91, a resident of the Village of Laurel Run, Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 24, while visiting her daughter, Doree, of West Lake Village, CA. Born on January 4, 1925 in Corona, NY, she was a daughter of the late Francis Andreiuolo and Dorothy Balzer Andreiuolo. She was the widow of Robert J. Sitterly, who preceded her in death on October 15, 1994. Dorothy was a gifted dancer and became an instructor by the age of 15, and placed third as an alternate dancer with the Rockettes in NYC. Aside from her duties as a homemaker, she worked as a hostess on Long Island and she also worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad. She was of the Catholic faith and she served a number of offices with the Baldwin Historical Society. Surviving are two children, Glenn Sitterly (Gail) of Fayetteville, PA and Doree Sitterly of West Lake Village, CA; as well as a granddaughter, Victoria Lida Sitterly of Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Robert, with graveside services at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 2, in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. Chaplain William Kauffman will preside. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Our Community House of Hope, 348 W. Avenida De Los Arboles, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
