Dorothy Stevens

Dorothy E. “Dottie” Stevens, 89, of Chambersburg, PA passed away on Wednesday morning, August 5, 2015 at Providence Place where she had been a resident for the past seven years. Dottie was born on December 4, 1925 in Chambersburg.

A 1943 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School, Dottie worked as a clerical supervisor in the personnel department at Letterkenny Army Depot until her retirement after 35 years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Chambersburg.

Dottie is survived by her husband of 70 years, Roy C. “Steve” Stevens; and her daughter, Betsy J. Stevens both of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Dennis L. “Denny” Stevens; five sisters; and three brothers.

A funeral service to honor Dottie’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 7, 2015 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Donald Nolder will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Norland Cemetery.
