Dorothy Yocum

Dorothy V. Yocum, 91, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Monday morning, October 11, 2021 at the Shook Home. Born March 6, 1930 in East Waterford, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ada Harmon Darling. She was the food service manager at the former People’s Drug Store in Chambersburg for many years. She loved cats and supported the No-Kill animal shelters. She raised African Violets and many other flowers. She loved collecting antiques. Her husband, John Yocum, preceded her in death on April 17, 2004.

She is survived by two nieces, Angela Feldman (Donald) of Chambersburg and Bonnie Bluett (Terry) of Seven Valleys; a nephew, Michael Hock of Fayetteville; and a number of great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Hock.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Norland Cemetery. Pastor Staci Geesaman will officiate.
