Dorothy Yoh

Dorothy Louise (Shoop) Yoh, 86, of Chambersburg, PA, entered eternal rest on November 4, 2012 at the Menno Haven Retirement Community in Chambersburg, PA. Dorothy was born on November 18, 1925 in Chambersburg, PA. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Esther Shoop. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Yoh, Jr. after almost fifty-five years of marriage; three brothers, Glenn Shoop, Wayne Shoop, and Willard Shoop; and a daughter, Dianne (Yoh) Norris, who passed away in January of this year.

Dorothy was a long time and faithful member of Central Presbyterian Church. She is survived by one daughter, Carol (Yoh) Sollenberger and her husband, Larry, of Mechanicsburg, PA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Holly (Norris) Shearer and her husband Calvin of Chambersburg, Andrew French of Chambersburg, Corrie (Sollenberger) Leister and her husband Chad of Mechanicsburg, Karen (Sollenberger) Ackley and her husband Mark of Enola, Kyle Sollenberger and his wife Jessica of Lancaster, Megan (Sollenberger) Wytovich and her husband Dominick of Oklahoma City, OK, and Molly Sollenberger of Mechanicsburg. Also surviving are ten great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Leister, Hailey Leister, Alexa Leister, Hayden Ackley, Cooper Ackley, Elijah Sollenberger, Hannah Sollenberger, Abigail Sollenberger, Olivia Shearer, and Camryn Shearer. She touched the lives of everyone around her and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Dr. John F. Helgeson officiating. Interment will follow at Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
