Douglas Kauffman

Douglas “Doug” Kauffman, age 46, of Shippensburg, PA, passed away at home on Sunday, June 28, 2020, with his family by his side. Born May 1, 1974, in Altoona, PA, he was the son of Earl and Joan Sutton Kauffman.
Doug was a 1992 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He attended Penn State for 3 years. Doug worked at Target Distribution Center for 15 years. Doug enjoyed reading and time with family and friends. He was a member of Our Lady of Visitation Catholic Church in Shippensburg.
In addition to his parents, Doug is survived by his wife, Heather Theimer Kauffman; seven children, Mariah Throckmorton of WV, Kiana Throckmorton of Shippensburg; Madalyn, Xavier, Joseph, Andrew, and Leo Kauffman; sister, Amy Stockslager (husband Toby) of Fayetteville, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at 1 PM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Fr. Dwight Schlaline and Deacon Richard Ramsey will celebrate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, from 6 – 9 PM in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA. Interment will follow the Mass in Corpus Christi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Melanoma Research Foundation, P.O. Box 759329 Baltimore, MD 21275-9329.
