Douglas J. “Doug” Rosenberry, 56, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021. Born July 2, 1964 in Chambersburg he was the son of Anna B. (Helmuth) Myers and the late Glen I. Rosenberry.
He was a graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School with the Class of 1982. Doug served in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge.
Doug was the owner and operator of Rosenberry Appliance Service for over 30 years and the manager of Country Rose Farm. He was a member of the Amvets Post 224, Post 41 Veterans of the Vietnam War, and the VFW Post 1599 all in Chambersburg and the NRA. Doug enjoyed gardening, farming, tending his farm animals, fishing, bird watching, and cooking gourmet foods. He took great pride in his flower gardens.
In addition to his mother he is survived by two children, Daniel Rosenberry and his wife Vanezza of Winchester, VA and Elizabeth “Liz” Fahrney of Chambersburg; three siblings, Sheryl, Jayne, and Lisa and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by two siblings, Michael and Jeanie.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M., Monday, June 21, 2021 in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Military honors will be conducted by the honor guard of Charles Nitterhouse V.F.W. Post #1599, Chambersburg in the parking lot of the funeral home at 12:30 P.M., following the receiving time.
