Dr. Albert Pye, PhD.

Dr. Albert E. Pye, PhD, 66, of Willow Hill, PA, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 15, 2012 from his home. Born March 25, 1945 in Yeadon, PA, he was the son of the late Albert E. and Mildred Lytle Pye. He graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in entomology. Albert had a great love of history and archaeology and enjoyed providing guidance to the young. He was a member of the Society for Invertebrate Pathology and the Entomological Society of America.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi Field Pye, whom he married September 1, 1979; three children, Francis E.A. Pye of Davis, CA, Robert Pye and wife Stephanie of Ellicott City, MD, and Jane Pye of Willow Hill; and a sister, Nancy Bland of Chambersburg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Susanna Elisabeth Pye.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Spring Run Bible Church, Hammond Road, Spring Run, PA. Interment will follow in Upper Path Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
