Dr. Jerry Broman

Dr. Jerry Hugo Broman, 57, of Chambersburg, PA, died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Raystown Lake in Huntingdon County, PA. Born November 1, 1954 in Chicago, IL, he was a son of Bjorn Hugo Broman of Sawyer, MI and the late Ulla Olofson Broman. He was a 1976 graduate of the University of Chicago and a 1980 graduate of the University of Chicago Medical School. After Medical School, Dr. Broman served in the U.S. Air Force, as a medical officer, obtaining the rank of Captain from 1981-1985. A Pathologist, he was affiliated with Chambersburg Pathology Associates. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fayetteville, the American Association of Clinical Pathologists, the Pennsylvania Association of Pathologists, the College of American Pathologists, and the American Society of Surgical Pathologists. An avid outdoorsman, Jerry enjoyed fishing, boating, and biking. His other hobbies included art, painting, studying World War II history, reading, building furniture, and music.

In addition to his father he is survived by his wife, Dale Marie DiNatalie Broman, whom he married December 30, 1983; his son, Matthew Tyler Broman (Jodi Bellinger) of Beaver Dams, NY; two sisters, Christine Corbett, and husband, Charles, of Evergreen Park, IL and Linda R. McShane, and husband, Michael, of Chicago, IL; two nephews, Michael and Erik McShane; two Godchildren, Rachael DiNatalie and Courtney Krolikoski; his mother-in-law, Katherine DiNatalie of Chambersburg, PA; and his brother-in-law, Jody DiNatalie and wife, Pamela, of Weathersfield, CT.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, August 3, 2012 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Eloise Shanley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Three Oaks, MI at a later date.
