Dustin Patterson

Dustin Kenneth Patterson (Dusty), age 22, of Washington DC, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Born in Tooele, Utah on October 2, 1998, he was the son of Fred R. and Courtney S. Erler Patterson.

He had an adventurous spirit, always on the move for the next opportunity life had to offer. He was known for his hugs and charm and always helping others smile. When he was younger, he enjoyed playing football, reading, and he always had a tender heart for animals. Above anything else, he cherished spending time with his two daughters.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiance, Ikea Diane Warren; daughters, Nyleah Alisa Stewart and Kamila Ivy Berkley Patterson; siblings, Dallas M. Patterson of Salt Lake City, UT, Stormy G. Patterson of Frederick, MD, and Holland M. Patterson of Greencastle, PA; and nieces Leilani M. Semeatu and Marlena Patterson; and nephews Liam X. Cole and Benjamin N. Patterson; maternal grandfather, Kenneth J. Erler (wife Peggy) of UT; and paternal grandparents, Edward and Frances Patterson of UT. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Nancy Erler in 1997.

Although, Dusty didn't have the opportunity to be an adult for very long, he was lucky enough to be blessed with two beautiful girls; he will get to live on through their laughter and smiles.

Private family funeral services will be held Thursday, August 5, 2021 in Hagerstown, MD. Private Graveside services will follow in Quincy Cemetery.
