Dwain Brookens

Dwain W. Brookens, 86, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at his home. Born March 22, 1929 in Fayetteville, he was a son of the late Solomon and Rosalie Geyer Brookens. Early in his life Dwain worked alongside his father on the family farm and he later retired from TB Woods in Chambersburg. His wife, Betty M. Fickes Brookens, whom he married in 1949, preceded him in death on June 2, 2007.
He is survived by two sons, Edward D. “Ike” Brookens and wife Donna of Fayetteville and Daniel E. Brookens of Orrtanna; three grandchildren, Lisa, Casey, and Augusta; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Romaine Martin and a brother, Ray Brookens.
A private graveside service was held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
