Elizabeth Ann Ziobrowski passed away on April 22, 2022 at home, after a nearly 8 year battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Ann was born June 9, 1956 to Claude E. Chesnut, Sr and Mary Helen Chesnut, in Chambersburg. She and Robert G. Ziobrowski were married in 1980 and have had 41 wonderful years of marriage. Ann graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 1974, and Penn State University in 1978, with degrees in nutrition and management.
Ann began her professional career as a dietician at Harrisburg Polyclinic Hospital. She subsequently was a dietician and food service director at South Mountain Restoration Center. In 1993 she was appointed food service director for the Chambersburg Area School District, and held that position until she retired in 2016. She was responsible for feeding 10,000 students per day. She loved her work and retired due to her illness. She was an extraordinary manager and a servant leader. She was active in the National School Nutrition Association and Pennsylvania School Nutrition Association and held leadership positions in each.
Nothing was more important to Ann than her family. She enjoyed cooking, reading, antiquing, gardening, her cat Molly, and traveling to the beach.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Brandon James, of New York City, and Nicholas Robert, of Philadelphia, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Claude Chesnut, Jr.
At Ann's request, there will be no funeral. A private memorial service will be held at a future date. Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA.
