Edna McKee

Edna K. McKee, 94, a resident of The Village of Laurel Run and formerly of Chambersburg and Fayetteville, passed away Saturday evening, November 18, 2017, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born October 12, 1923 in Fayetteville, she was a daughter of the late Sargie, Sr. and Margaret Patterson Baughman. Mrs. McKee had been employed for many years at the former Tracy Fashions in Chambersburg. She attended The Open Door Church and was a member of the Jolly 60’s. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, and Sudoku. Her husband, George M. McKee, Sr., whom she married March 1, 1941, preceded her in death on August 30, 1995.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Cordell (Richard) of Fayetteville, George McKee, Jr. (Nancy) of Waynesboro, Carl McKee (Ruth) of Fayetteville, and Kirk McKee (Pei Pei Chien) of Middletown, MD; five grandchildren, Richard Cordell (Juanita), Todd McKee, Jill Story (Mark), James Davis-Cordell (Sheri), and Fiona Chien McKee; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Jane Small, Miriam Ryder, Helen Shoop, and Patricia Moore, all of Chambersburg; and her brother, Eugene Baughman of Fayetteville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilbur Baughman, Chester Baughman, and Sargie “June” Baughman, Jr.


Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 22, 2017, in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Mike Sanders will officiate. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
