Edward Huntington Hill, Jr., 54, of Fannettsburg, passed away peacefully at his home and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 4, 2014. Born July 10, 1960 in Dauphin, PA, the son of Betty Hill and the late Edward Hill. He graduated from South High School, Cleveland, OH and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. After a medical discharge from The Marines, Ed worked in his father’s trucking business as a truck driver, with a woodworking company, and as an inspector in a steel mill. He enjoyed fishing with his daughter Amy, and his faithful, loving dog, Lo-Lo. He also enjoyed browsing through thrift shops and flea markets for jewelry and tools. He was a faithful member of the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church.
Aside from his mother, Ed is survived by his wife of 20 years, Marie Hill; children Eddie, Rachel, Brittany, and Amy; two grandsons Mason and Noah; a sister, Mary Griffith; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered by his family and friends as a kind, caring, and loving family man.
A service to celebrate Ed’s life will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church, 16950 Main St, Spring Run, PA 17262. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, Dry Run.
