Edward Renfrew

Edward L. “Lynn” Renfrew, 83, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017, at the Shippensburg Health Care Center. Born April 15, 1934 in Fannettsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Park and Esther Shields Renfrew.

Lynn was graduate of the former Chambersburg High School. A US Navy veteran, he served honorably in the Seabees for four years and in the reserves for 16 years. Lynn was employed at Grove Manufacturing until his retirement. He then owned and operated several businesses over the years. He was a life member of the Amvets Post 224 in Chambersburg, the VFW Post 6319 in Greencastle, and a post member of the American Legion Post 517 in Mercersburg.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie Cowan Renfrew; eight children; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son; and two sisters, Margaret Comb and Dorothy Horst.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 PM on Friday, September 15, 2017, at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM in Salem Cemetery.
