Edward Schramm was born on September 14, 1924 in Jackson, MI and died peacefully on May 6, 2021 at Menno Haven. He was the oldest of 4 siblings. After completing high school, he entered the Army and was stationed in Alaska during WW2. He and his wife, Jane, just celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on April 29th. They raised their 5 children in Owosso, MI until relocating to Chambersburg in 1966. Edward trained as a computer technician and started his career working on computers in the 1950's. He was employed by Unisys and worked at Letterkenny until his retirement in 1986. He was a keen golfer, baseball fan, follower of Notre Dame and Michigan football teams, an avid reader and American history buff, particular about his lawn, and was able to keep up with and embrace computer technology in spite of coming to it in his later years.
He is survived by his wife Jane (resident of Mennohaven), sister Therese (MA), children: Sallie (IL), Peter (AZ), Sue (AZ), Martie (WA), and Molly (Scotland, UK), 4 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
