Elaine Sara Streck, 43, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Thursday morning, May 27, 2021 at her home. Born October 25, 1977 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Sharon E.
McKenrick - Streck and David T. Streck. Elaine was a 1996 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School where she had enjoyed participating in drama productions. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Language with a minor in Latin from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmittsburg, MD, graduating in 2000. She was very active with the Chorus while attending Mount St. Mary’s and also served during that time as a Eucharistic Minister. Elaine was currently employed as a Customer Service Representative at the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency. She enjoyed spending time with her mini daschsunds, Molly and Conor; her Jack Russell Min Pin, Harley; reading; cooking; crocheting; and singing.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Thomas L. Streck; aunts and uncles, Deborah L. Kolb, Lloyd R. McKenrick, Karen D. Berkheimer, A. Joseph McKenrick, Philip M. McKenrick, Bernard F. McKenrick, David E. McKenrick. Also surviving are her cousins Danielle Yohe, Amanda Pennington, Sarah Kolb, Matthew Kolb, Clair O’Donnell, Kelly Pearson, Kristin McKenrick, Erin McKenrick, and Matthew McKenrick. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lloyd and Alberta (Clapsadle) McKenrick; and her cousin, Brian McKenrick.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Father Richard Lyons will officiate. Interment will be private.
The family suggests contributions in Elaine’s name be made to Mount St. Mary’s University, Office of Alumni Engagement, 16300 Old Emmitsburg Road, Emmitsburg, MD 21727 (payable to Mount St. Mary's University Annual Fund) or to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
