Eleanor Stenger

Eleanor Frances (Carson) Stenger, 94, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 25, 2018 at Paramount Senior Living. Born May 5, 1924 in Milroy, PA, she was a daughter of the late James W. and Mae C. Walters Carson. Mrs. Stenger was a graduate of the Harrisubrg Polyclinic School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse at Polyclinic Hopsital and the former Samuel G. Dixon State Hospital, South Mountain, PA. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chambersburg and the Harrisburg Polyclinic School of Nursing Alumni Association. She enjoyed reading and gardening. Her husband, R. Marshall Stenger, whom she married in 1958, preceded her in death in October of 2005.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Stenger of Fayetteville; one niece; and one nephew. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Horwitz and her step-mother, Daisy Carson.

Graveside services were held at Lincoln Cemetery.
