Elizabeth Creager

Elizabeth L. “Betty Lou” (Leidig) Creager, 92, formerly of St. Thomas, PA passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at The Village at Luther Ridge. Born July 11, 1930 in Chambersburg, PA she was the daughter of the late George I. and Flora Glen (Wolff) Leidig.

In her early life she was employed at Stanley Company, Chambersburg and then worked in child care for a number of years. Betty then retired from Gibbles Potato Chip Factory, Chambersburg. She enjoyed reading, listening to classic country music, and she was a lover of animals.

Betty is survived by five children, Deborah Lensbower (Edward) of Chambersburg, PA; Nancy Welsh of Chambersburg, PA; Betsy Arnold of Idaho; Barbara Gaydos (Mark) of Port Deposit, MD; and Patricia Hyatt (Patrick) of Chambersburg; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Kenny, Amanda, Joseph IV, Brianna, and Zarah; great grandchildren, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Makayla, Shanya, Adrieanna, Drake, Oakley and Hudson; and a great-great-grandchild, Raegan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn W. Creager in 2010; a son, Kenneth Ray Creager and five siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA with Tracy Walls officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday evening in the funeral home as well as one hour prior to the service Saturday morning in the funeral home.
