Elizabeth Lockridge King, 88, of Chambersburg, PA passed away, December 7, 2011. Born August 23, 1923 in Marshall, MO, she was a daughter of the late William and Florence Patterson Lockridge. Elizabeth earned her bachelors degree from the University of Missouri. She taught, worked as an administrative assistant, and raised her family. She attended the Unitarian Universalist Church and enjoyed her family, gardening, and reading. For the past 3 ½ years she was lovingly cared for in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and David, along with the support of her daughter, Janet, and many local caregivers and friends.
She is survived by her two daughters Susan Hartman (and husband David) of Chambersburg, and Janet Harvey (and husband Dale) of Maryville, TN; her step-daughter Pat Mann (and husband Paul) of Louisville, KY; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sister Florence Lockridge; and her brother John Lockridge. Aside from her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband William Robert Kuhn; her second husband William D. King; her sister Kitty Lee; and her brother Bill Lockridge.
