Elizabeth R. Taylor, 95, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Friday, January 24, 2025 at Chambers Pointe Health Care Center. Born July 25, 1929 in Newton, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Snook and Mildred Roy and widow to the late Harold A. Taylor, Jr., who preceded her in death March 1, 2022.

Elizabeth was employed as an Executive Assistant for Selected Risks Insurance Company until her retirement. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church of the Falling Spring in Chambersburg as well as the Eastern Star, Martha Custis Chapter #342. In her younger years, Elizabeth enjoyed sports car racing, having served in the pit crew of a local race team near Somerset, PA. She also enjoyed playing cards and RV camping with her husband. Together they visited every state except for Hawaii.

She is survived by her two children, Keith A. Taylor of Hanover, PA and Joy A. Bruening (husband Wayne) of Stoystown, PA; five grandchildren, Jeremy Bruening (wife Sheila), Stacy Bruening, Mandy Bower (husband Joshua), Holly Matthie (husband Dustin), and Julie Holsopple (husband Seth); and four great-grandchildren, Jacob, Tyler, Kainan and Tara (husband Blaine); and one great-great-grandchild, Clover. In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kleindienst and her daughter-in-law, Elaine Taylor.

A memorial service to honor Elizabeth’s life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202, where Mr. Brad Hill will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Chambersburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Presbyterian Church of the Falling Spring, 221 N Main St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
