Elma Ann Walker, 88, of Chambersburg, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Magnolias of Chambersburg. Born February 10, 1935 in Somerset County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles C. and Nancy E. Nicholson Uphold.

Elma was a 1953 graduate of Meyersdale High School. She was employed at Menno Haven in Chambersburg until her retirement in 1997. Elma was a member of Zion Reformed Church. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her beloved husband, David E. Walker, preceded her in death on September 13, 2015. She is survived by two daughters, Terri Sue Taylor (Ron), and Tammi E. Eslinger (Robert); eight grandchildren, Allen (Natalie), David, Audrey (Nathan), Ryan, Matthew, Hilary (Pius), Andrew (Amy), and Michael; eleven great grandchildren; Zachary, Madelyn, Ferguson, Hosanna, Gannon, Zeno, Jubilee, Calhan, Gloria, Jazmine, and Felicity; sister, Marcella M. Singer; and her son-in-law, Chris Walker. Aside from her parents and husband, Elma was preceded in death by her son, James D. Walker; brother, Elwood; and two sisters, Ruth and Grace.

Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association at lbda.org. Condolences and memories may be shared at geiselfuneralhome.com.
