Elsie Reamer

Elsie K. Reamer, 87, of Pleasant Hall, went to be with her Lord on Monday, October 17, 2011 from the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born May 3, 1924 in Franklin County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Ruth Varner Runshaw. Elsie was employed in the accounting department at the former H. J. Heinz Co. in Chambersburg, retiring after thirty years of service. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orrstown. Her hobbies included playing the organ, reading, crocheting, and knitting. Her beloved husband, H. Russell Reamer, whom she married December 4, 1943, preceded her in death on January 13, 2005.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Tinker and husband Jeffrey of Hustontown, PA; two grandchildren, John W. “Wes” Tinker and wife Laura of Smithfield, PA, and Barbara K. Mellott and husband Shain of Harrisonville, PA; three great-grandchildren; Sarah Tinker, Samuel Tinker, and Wyatt Mellott; and her brother Glenn Runshaw. Aside from her parents and husband, Elsie was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, October 21, 2011 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Kathleen G. Coleman will officiate. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from Noon-1:00PM Friday at the funeral home.
