Elsie B. Reasner, 90, formerly of Fayetteville, PA, went to be with the Lord Monday evening, July 30, 2012 from Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born July 8, 1922 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Solomon and Bertha Sites Hummer. Elsie was employed at the former Stanley Company in Chambersburg for 26 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Chambersburg First Church of God and its Willing Workers Sunday School
Class. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, sewing, and needlepoint. Her husband, Lindsey Reasner preceded her in death on March 11, 2005.
She is survived by seven daughters, Linda Reasner of Chambersburg, H. Jane Gebhart of New Oxford, PA, Phyllis Helman of Fayetteville, Nancy Remson, Retha Reasner, Donna Burns, and Robbin Sipe all of Chambersburg; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Raymond Hummer of Waynesboro. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons, David and John Reasner; 4 brothers, Lewis, Robert, Dan, Clarence, Harry, and Levi Hummer; and 3 sisters, Ida Davis, Flo Chamberlain, and Lucy Foust.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 3, 2012 in the Chambersburg First Church of God, 2230 Grand Point Road, Chambersburg with Leslie “Tyke” Schriver officiating. Interment will follow in Covenanter Cemetery in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. There will be no viewing at the church on Friday
