Emma F. “Faye” Dice, age 80, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016, at the Penn Hall Nursing Center. Born January 26, 1936, in Newville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Pearl Gilbert Mowers.
Mrs. Dice was a 1954 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. Talented and interested in many occupations, Mrs. Dice worked at Valley Pride Bakery, K-Mart, and was a self-employed house cleaner. An avid sports fan, Mrs. Dice enjoyed watching her beloved Dallas Cowboys, Jeff Gordon in NASCAR, and Penn State Football. She cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed taking walks, completing puzzles, flowers, and watching birds.
Surviving are two daughters, Kimberly Wagner (husband Michael) of Shippensburg, PA and Diane Kalathas (husband Nicholas) of Shippensburg; four grandchildren, John Kalathas (wife Janine), Ashley Gleason (husband Tyler), Lucas Kalathas (wife Jessica), and Caleb Wagner (wife Sandi); four great-grandchildren, Jase, Nicholas, Eli, and Lorelai; and three sisters, Louise Pisle (husband Elwood) of Shippensburg; Mildred Koser of Shippensburg, and Dorothy Mull of Arizona. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Dice on October 14, 2014.
Funeral services to honor Mrs. Dice’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, at Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, 2509 Black Gap Road, Chambersburg, with Pastor Garry Culler officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until services begin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to The Michael J.
