Eva M. Jackson, 95, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Paramount Senior Living. Born March 25, 1926 in Luzerne County, PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Isabella Coots Marley. Her beloved husband, Matthew James Jackson, Sr., preceded her in death in August of 1997.
Eva was raised in Forty Fort, PA. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at the Chambersburg Hospital in the emergency department. After her retirement, she and her husband enjoyed RVing and camping. She also enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by three children, Matthew Jackson, Jr. (wife Karen) of Villages, FL, William “Bill” Jackson of Roanoke, VA, and Nancy Lorsung (husband Norm) of Alexandria, MN; two grandchildren, Sloan Lorsung and Travis Lorsung (Tanya Tacker); one great grandchild, Olivia Lorsung; and three siblings, Eleanor Wintle of York, PA, David Marley of Portland, ME, and Thelma Schneiderhan of Kingston, PA.
Services will be private. Interment in Fern Knoll Burial Park will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mont Alto Vol. Fire Co., 517 S. Main Street, Mont Alto, PA 17237.
