Evelyn Lydic

Evelyn Mae Stepler Lydic, 87, of Chambersburg, died Wednesday May 8, 2013 at Manor Care Health Services. Born on April 29, 1926 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Verna E. Stepler. A 1944 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School, Evelyn spent her working years as a maintenance specialist, retiring from Letterkenny Army Depot in 1987. She was a member of NARFE
She is survived by a brother; Richard D. Stepler, of Chambersburg; a niece, Tonia Poper, wife of Randy, of Chambersburg; 2 great – nieces, Jessica Lehman, wife of Hans, and Erica Poper all of Chambersburg; 2 great-great nephews, Braden and Aaron and: one great-great niece Rachel. Aside from her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a brother, Theodore L. Stepler and a sister-in law Margaret L. Stepler.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 11:00 Am at First Assembly of God, 525 E. Leitersburg Street, Greencastle, PA 17225. Rev. Gregory Sinclair will officiate. Interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to First Assembly of God Church at the aforementioned address.
