Evelyn E. Ross, age 91, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at her home. Born, January 20, 1924, she was a daughter of the late William and Lottie Orr Brown. Evelyn worked as a correctional officer in Franklin County. She also helped people with their taxes.
She is survived by her son, Roy Eugene Smith; daughter-in-law and caretaker, Lucille Kendall of Waynesboro; daughter-in-law, Debra Ross of Waynesboro; five granddaughters; one grandson; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by two sons, Henry E. Smith, Jr., and Arnold H. Ross, Jr.; an infant daughter; her first husband, Henry E. Smith, Sr.; and her second husband, Arnold H. Ross, Sr. She was the last of her immediate family.
Services to honor Evelyn’s life will be private and under the direction of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
