Faye A. Gladfelter, age 86, of Chambersburg, PA; passed away in the Chambersburg Hospital Emergency Room on Monday, October 3, 2011. Born March 2, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William Harry and Vergie Regi Naugle.
A homemaker most of her life, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition, Faye enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers and watching the Young and the Restless on TV. Faye was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her children, Robert H. Gladfelter (wife Lorraine) of Chambersburg, PA and Norman S. Gladfelter (wife Teresa) of Unionbridge, MD; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman G. Gladfelter, a daughter, Glenda F. Slifer, a grandchild, and five siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Pastor Rick Noll will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
