Florence Hepfer

Florence E. Hepfer, 88, of Chambersburg, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born September 9, 1927 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Brandt C. Gonder, Sr. and Barbara G. Werdbaugh Gonder.
Florence was a 1945 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School. She was employed at Grief Company as a seamstress for 42 years. She was a member of 1st Assembly of God in Shippensburg and the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post 6168 in Shippensburg. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and watching NASCAR.
Florence is survived by a son, Glen Stoner and wife Delores of IL; daughter, Daryl Sailhamer and husband John of Shippensburg; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a niece, Beverly Martin. In addition to her parents, Florence is preceded in death by five siblings, Charles, Jere, Brandt, Anna, and Alice; and one great-granddaughter.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Pastor Dan Cluck will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
