Frank Kimball

Frank B. Kimball III, 85, of Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Merrimac, MA, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at his home. Born November 24, 1933 in Haverhill, MA, he was a son of the late Frank B. Kimball, Jr. and Gladys Howe Kimball.

Frank was a 1952 graduate of Haverhill High School in Massachusetts. A U.S. Army veteran, Frank served honorably during the Korean War. Following his military service, Frank earned his B.S. in mechanical engineering from the Wentworth Institute in Boston, MA. He was employed as a mechanical engineer with the Haverhill Gas Company for 21 years until his retirement. He was a member of Merrimac United Methodist Church. He enjoyed bowling, softball and woodworking. An avid New England Patriots fan, Frank also enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Fay J. Foster Kimball whom he married on May 26, 1956; two daughters, Susan Ellis and husband William of Chambersburg, and Lynn Givas and husband Thomas of Syracuse, NY; four grandchildren, Benjamin Ellis of Natick, MA, Stephanie Sheedy and husband Peter of Newburg, NY, Peter Givas and wife Elizabeth of East Syracuse, NY, and Nicholas Givas of Syracuse, NY; one great granddaughter, Jane Givas; five siblings, Carol Thorpe, Jean Jackson, Robert Kimball, Donald Kimball and Warren Kimball; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by two siblings, David Kimball and Judy Reilly.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Merrimac, MA. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
