Frederick L. “Fred” Lauver, Jr., age 46, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly in the Chambersburg Hospital Emergency Room. Born in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late Frederick L., Sr. and Bernadine Lea McCans Lauver.
Fred worked in warehousing most of his adult life. He enjoyed going camping, fishing, hunting, playing with dogs, watching NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon, and looking for Bald Eagles.
Surviving is his wife, Andrea Brown Lauver, step-son, Allen D. Brown (wife Amber) of Chambersburg, four step-grandchildren, and four siblings, Sonny Carr (Joyce) of Fayetteville, PA, Harold Carr (Sandy) of Tucson, AZ, Mary Miller (George) of Chambersburg, PA, and Margaret Black of Baltimore, MD.
A memorial service to honor Fred’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends in the Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 21 from 7 – 9 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the American Heart Association, 417 Phoenix Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
