Garrett A. Hultin, age 9, was called home to our Lord, Jesus Christ, on Monday, March 1, 2021 from the Hershey Medical Center. Born on October 30, 2011 in Chambersburg, he was one of two twin sons of Matthew and Malina (Straitiff) Hultin, of Chambersburg.
Garrett was a 3rd-grade student at Shalom Christian Academy. He enjoyed playing soccer and the piano, learning and sharing about history and geography, collecting coins and stuffed owls, playing tag, and fishing. He had a kind spirit and gentle soul that touched many. His brother was his best friend and constant companion. He loved his family, classmates, and friends and never hesitated to say so. Above all, he loved his Savior, Jesus Christ. It was his delight to sing out worship songs each Sunday morning at King Street Church and listen to Pastor Jody Bowser preach.
Aside from his parents, he will be forever loved and missed by his twin brother, Grayson W. Hultin; grandparents, Ralph and Brenda Hultin and Roy and Lisa Frampton; great grandparents, W. Thomas and Beverly Straitiff, Donna Zettlemoyer; aunts, Rebecca Hultin, Kristin Newton (Eric), Michelle Bressler (Greg), Larissa Innerst (Rusty), Larya Garcia, and Rebecca Reeder; Uncle Jesse Straitiff and all his cousins and many other extended family members and friends.
We love you always and forever “Garr-Bear.”
His celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, at King Street United Brethren Church, 162 E. King St. Chambersburg, with Pastor Jody Bowser and Pastor Don Baker officiating. Masks and social distancing efforts will be observed. Interment will follow in Norland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, March 5th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
