Gary Gennaro

Gary Michael Gennaro, age 36, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away in his home on Wednesday, October 03, 2012. Born May 23, 1976 in Norristown, PA, he was the son of Stanley Gary Gennaro and David and Karen Gennaro Cooley.

Gary worked at Waste Management as a Driver and Loader, but his passion was volunteering at New Franklin Fire Company and Friendship Fire Company # 14 where he served as Fire Chief until his illness. Aside from spending time at the fire hall, he enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles, hunting, going to church, and most of all, he cherished time with his family.
Surviving is his loving wife of 14 years, Raven Miley Gennaro, whom he married August 29, 1998; his beloved daughter, Italia and Isabel Gennaro, seven siblings, Ryan Foley, Kelly Foley, Devin Cooley, Dave Cooley, Michelle Cooley, Amanda Foley and Matthew Foley. He was preceded in death by both his maternal grandparents, James and Carolyn Gennaro and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Evelyn Foley.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church, 465 Center St., Chambersburg, PA 17201; where Pastor Kevin Witter and Pastor Steve Delaney will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church and address above on Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 6:00 until 9:00 PM and also one hour prior to the service on Monday in the Church. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
