George Franklin Line, Jr., age 17, of Fannettsburg, PA, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014. Born in Chambersburg, PA on February 13, 1997, he was the son of Brenda Lee Harpster Line and the late George Franklin Line, Sr.
An avid outdoorsman, George enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a car and video game enthusiast. George was a student at the Fannett-Metal Senior High School, where he served as the class treasurer for the class of 2015. He was also employed by T&B Cleaning.
In addition to his mother, George is survived by five siblings, Ashley L. Graybill of Hagerstown, MD, Teresa G. Fields (husband Robert) of Greencastle, PA, Donald E. Line (wife Rosetta) of Greencastle, PA, Benjamin Line (wife Tina) of Chambersburg, PA, and Laura Stogsdill of Orrstown, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 2 PM at the Carrick United Methodist Church, 7003 Path Valley Rd., Fort Loudon, PA; where Pastor Phil Foster and Rev. Marlin A. “Butch” Neil will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main St., Dry Run, PA on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 6 – 9 PM and on Friday one hour prior to the service at the above church and address. Interment will be in the Fannettsburg Reformed Church Cemetery. The family requests the omission of flowers, and asks for contributions to be made in his name to The First National Bank of Mercersburg, Fort Loudon office, 92 Path Valley Rd., Ft. Loudon, PA 17224.
