George W. Muller

 George Walter Muller, age 94, a resident of Menno Haven, died February 10, 2025. George was born March 31, 1930, in Hartford, Connecticut, the son of Walter O. and Evelyn R. Muller. Following graduation from Trinity College, Hartford (BS, Geology) in 1952, he requested and was granted active duty in the US Naval Reserve. He was discharged in May1955 and was employed at United Aircraft Corporation's (now United Technologies) computer center while pursuing BSEE ('58) and MSEE ('60) degrees at the University of Connecticut. 

While at UAC, he met Ruth Summerville, a computer programmer working in the same building. They were married on August 31, 1957 and were blessed with three children, Stephen, Paul, and Terri. 

George spent his career in the computer industry, including time at Honeywell and at NEC. By the end of his career in 1995, he was the owner of a small computer software company in Massachusetts. 

In 1995, George and Ruth retired to Kiawah Island, South Carolina, and also pursued their interest in travel. They enjoyed many trips both domestic and abroad. In 2004, George and Ruth moved to Menno Haven Retirement Community in Chambersburg, PA. 

George was preceded in death by his parents, his son Paul, and his sister Evelyn (Edmund) Dahl. He is survived by his wife Ruth, son Stephen (Susan), daughter Terri, and three grandchildren: Elizabeth (Steven) Coniglio, Thomas (Suzanne) Muller, and Timothy DeLloyd, as well as his great granddaughter Taylor Coniglio. He is also survived by his nieces Nancy Black, Susan Dahl, and Karen (Wayne) Lorentzen. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Chambersburg, PA.
