George Robinson

George F. Robinson, Sr., 82, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at ManorCare. Born July 5, 1934 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Viola I. “Floe” Trace Robinson. His wife, Kathryn E. Robinson, preceded him in death on March 27, 2007.
George was employed as a shipping clerk with T.B. Woods for 35 years until his retirement in 1992. He later worked part time for Frank Yeager Landscaping, Knouse Foods, and PathStone in Chambersburg. He enjoyed going to tractor pulls and races and watching airplanes and skydivers.
George is survived by four children, Jeffery Robinson and wife Georgia of Chambersburg, Cynthia Padgett and husband Jerry of NC; Roseanna Hughes of Chambersburg, and Kay Brown and husband Gearald of Greencastle; 17 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and four sisters, Betty Clugston and husband Orville of St. Thomas, Nancy Johnson and husband Leroy of OH, Peggy Lou Melius and husband Ronnie of Marion, and Sarah Gochenauer of Chambersburg. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, George Robinson, Jr. and Brian Robinson; and two siblings, Dolores Swanger and Donald Robinson.
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
