George F. Robinson, Jr., 54, of Chambersburg, died Saturday morning, February 2, 2013 in Chambersburg Hospital. Born October 12, 1958 in Chambersburg, he was a son of George F. Robinson, Sr. of Chambersburg and the late Kathryn Forney Robinson. He was a graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School and served in the US Army. George enjoyed cooking and had been previously employed at Denny’s, the former IHOP in Chambersburg, and at Shippensburg University.
In addition to his father, he is survived by six children, Daffney Shipley of Chambersburg, Gretta Martin of Fayetteville, Brandon Robinson of Shippensburg, David Robinson of Fayetteville, Gary Chad Robinson of Shippensburg, and Kayla Robinson of Chambersburg; ten grandchildren; a brother, Jeffery Robinson of Chambersburg; and three sisters, Cynthia Padgett of North Carolina, Roseanna Hughes of Chambersburg, and Kay Brown of Greencastle. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Brian Robinson; and a grandson.
Services and interment will be private.
