Gerald Burdge

Gerald S. Burdge, age 74 of Shippensburg, and formerly of Chambersburg; passed away on Monday August 8, 2011 at the Shippensburg healthcare center. Born February 24, 1937 in Blairs Mills, PA, he was the son of the late Forrest Brady and Alverta S. Shearer Burdge.
A laborer at Occupational Services Inc. for 41 years, Gerald retired in 1999. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #842 in Chambersburg.
Surviving are six siblings, Norman B. Burdge of East Waterford, PA; William B. Burdge of Blairs Mills, PA; Richard W. Burdge of Fayetteville, PA; Marcella L. Goshorn of Shippensburg, PA; Virginia M. Stouffer of Chambersburg, PA; and E. Arlene Goshorn of Lurgan, PA; as well as several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the Agett-Geisel Funeral Home 18875 Main St., Dry Run, PA on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 11 AM; where Rev. Karen Willis will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 6-8 PM in the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will follow the service in Upper Tuscarora Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions be made in his name to the Epilepsy Foundation of Western and Central Pennsylvania, 1501 Reedsdale St., #3002, Pittsburgh, PA 15233.
