Gerald J. Pool, 85, of Fort Loudon, PA went home to be with his Lord Jesus Friday, October 8, 2021 in the UPMC West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg, PA. Born July 4, 1936 in McConnellsburg, PA he was the son of the late Russell Pool, Sr. and Velma B. (Mellott) Pool.
He was employed as an apple harvester for Mountain-Brook Orchard for 40 years. He had a vast knowledge of the orchards, apples and apple trees. Gerald enjoyed spending time outdoors and working in his garage and on tractors. He was a member of Believers Fellowship in Christ Church of God, Greencastle, PA.
Gerald is survived by his daughter, Monica Pool Sullivan and her husband Drake of Fort Loudon; two grandchildren, Zoey and Noah Sullivan; ex-wife, Marie J. Pool; and two siblings Stella and Ordean.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Pool, Russell Pool, Jr., Ronnie Pool and Anna Mae Thomas.
A memorial graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, October 18, 2021 in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens, 3218 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA with Pastor Pamela Lynch officiating. Arrangements are by the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
