Geraldine Felmlee

Geraldine Felmlee, 90, of Dry Run, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Harrisburg Hospital. Born August 15, 1927, in Doylesburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mary Junkin Book. Her beloved husband of 61 years, Cecil C. Felmlee, preceded her in death on April 20, 2013.

Geraldine was a graduate of the former Fannett Township High School. She was employed as a Teacher’s Aide at Fannett-Metal Elementary School for 24 years until her retirement in 1989. Geraldine was a member of Spring Run Bible Church and served as a Sunday School Teacher for 20 years. She also assisted with her husband’s radio and electrical business. A homemaker, she was a wonderful seamstress and made her children’s clothes. She also enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. Geraldine volunteered for Child Evangelism Fellowship for close to 60 years.

Surviving are her children; Linda Felmlee of Scottsdale, AZ, Cheryl Felmlee of Valley Cottage, NY, David Felmlee of Shippensburg PA; grandson, Alec Felmlee of Scottsdale, AZ; and her sister, Mary Alleman of Cullman, AL. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Eva Walker; and four brothers, Harry Book, Jr., John Book, Galen Book, and Thaddeus Book.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the Spring Run Bible Church, 20722 Hammond Road, Spring Run, PA. Pastor Ryan Henderson will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will follow in Doylesburg Cemetery.
