Geraldine R. Fisher, age 89 of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born September 10, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John and Florence Ulrich Jamison.
Mrs. Fisher was a 1952 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School. She worked at the former Stanley Company for 17 years, and later more notably as a Bus Driver for Meyers Bus Lines for 40 years, retiring in 2010. She was an active member of the Scotland Fellowship Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and was a part of the Living Word Sunday School Class. Above all else, she cherished her family. Her interests include camping, the Philadelphia Phillies, puzzles, and playing games with her friends and loved ones. Gerry was a social butterfly, enjoying her monthly get togethers with school bus drivers, high school classmates, and church ladies.
Surviving is her daughter, Tina S. Eckard (husband Walt) of Carlisle, PA; two grandchildren, Joshua R. Davenport (wife Alexis) of Saratoga Springs, NY and Cassandra J. Thomas (husband Justin) of Lothian, MD; two step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and six step-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Fisher in 1995, her son, Gregory A. Fisher, and six siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Bill Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and address above. Interment will follow the service in Norland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Scotland Fellowship Church, PO Box 511, Scotland, PA 17254.
