Gertrude E. (Kump) Zeger, 99, of the Quarters at the Shook Home, Chambersburg, PA and formerly of St. Thomas, PA passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born August 26, 1922 in Chambersburg she was the daughter of the late John Franklin and Elizabeth W. (Cunningham) Kump.
She was a graduate of the Chambersburg High School with the Class of 1940. Gertrude was an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ, St. Thomas, PA. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and was active at the Fort Loudon Senior Center for 30 years.
Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Saundra J. Ramey and her husband James of Chambersburg; two granddaughters, Danielle Jones and Robin Keehner and her husband Daniel “Danny”; four great-grandchildren, Colby, Kirstin, Ronan, and Declan; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd W. Zeger who passed away December 9, 1984.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas, PA.
