Gladys Culbertson

Gladys M. Straley Culbertson, 88, formerly of Spring Run, PA, died Sunday, August 26, 2012 at ManorCare Health Services in Chambersburg. Born December 28, 1923 in St. Thomas, she was a daughter of the late Solomon and Luella George Straley. She was a homemaker most of her life. Her husband, Robert E. Culbertson, died October 21, 2008.

Gladys is survived by her son, Donald R. Culbertson and wife R. Darlene of Mechanicsburg; a granddaughter, Vanessa Culbertson; two great-grandchildren, Adam and Logan Runk; and a brother, George “Sonny” Straley of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Richard E. and Robert W. Culbertson; as well as three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Chaplain Helen Pinder will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
