Gladys Motter

Gladys Irene Motter, 66, of Dry Run, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2018, at Hershey Medical Center with her family by her side. Born July 15, 1952 in Lewistown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Xopher “Buster” Hurrell and Patricia Buchanan Hurrell. Her beloved husband of 45 years, Randy D. Motter, preceded her in death on June 13, 2017.

Gladys was employed as a seamstress for many years and later as a farm technician with Country View Farms in Hustontown, PA until her retirement in February of 2017. She enjoyed going to the races, working puzzles, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Wendy Madden of Dry Run, Bethel Ash (Donnie) of Tioga, PA, and Crystal Kennedy (Mike) of Dry Run; seven grandchildren, Brooke Crouse (Cody), Jordan Rowland, Desirae Rowland, LaRanda Rowland, Trever Ash, Heather Vosburg, and Cory Kennedy; five great-grandchildren, Zachary, Kaylie, Makenna, Abbie and Ayden; and three siblings, Hazel Johnson, Roger Hurrell and Lois Hurrell. In addition to her parents and husband, Gladys was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Hurrell and Loretta Flemming.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 24, 2018, at the Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main Street, Dry Run, PA 17220. Pastor Judy Rowles will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Upper Path Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM on Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
