Glenna J. Poe, 81, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. Born May 8, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Fred L. and Anna Mae Ridenour Kline. Her husband, Robert B. Poe, preceded her in death on July 7, 1991.
Glenna was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School. Early in her life she was employed as a laboratory technician at Waynesboro Hospital. Most recently she was employed as a secretary at New Cumberland Defense Logistics Agency Distribution until her retirement. During her retirement she volunteered at the Chambersburg Hospital. She was a girl scout leader and helped with the boy scouts. Glenna also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and loved cats.
She is survived by three children, Robert A. Poe (Robin) of Chambersburg, Beth Shaffer (James) of Burnt Cabins, and Misti Senft of Chambersburg; five step-children, Gary Poe (Linda) of St. Thomas, Charles Poe (Jane) of Shippensburg, Charlotte McCleary of Chambersburg, Sharon Barnhart (Roger) of Waynesboro, and Robert B. Poe, Jr. of Chambersburg; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; two siblings, Ann Smith of Mont Alto and Ronald Kline (Ginger) of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents and husband, Glenna was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald Kline and Larry Kline.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 9, 2020 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Private interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
