Gloria Musick

Gloria Jean Musick, 80, of Scotland, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at WellSpan York Hospital. Born January 1, 1943 in Harrisburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Marlin Hostettler and Verna Shaeffer Foltz.

Early in her life, Gloria worked as a Registered Nurse. She spent most of her life making a home for her family. She was later employed at Menno Haven Elder Day until her retirement. Gloria was a member of King Street Church and the Good Samaritan Sunday School Class. She also taught children’s Sunday school for many years and served as a greeter. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed sewing, quilting; and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Guy V. Musick, whom she married on May 16, 1965; two sons, Todd Musick and wife Gail of Bloomington, IL, and Shawn Musick and wife Stacy of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Mitchel, Logan, Chloe, and Emma Musick; and her brother, John Hostettler and wife Lois of Milbank, SD. In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by two infant siblings, Gail and Eugene Hostettler.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at King Street Church, 162 E. King Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Rev. Ronald Cook will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
