Gloria Snowberger

Gloria Joycene Snowberger, age 82, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 5, 1932, in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Helen Haugh Mentzer.
A homemaker most of her working years, she did work at Landis Machine in her earlier years. Gloria enjoyed reading, especially mystery novels and watching movies and British comedies. Her most treasured time was spent with family, especially her grandchildren and her dogs.
Surviving is her beloved husband of 63 years, J. Robert Snowberger, whom she married on June 3, 1951; three children, Debra S. Lehman of Chambersburg, PA, Robert F. Snowberger (wife Susan A.) of Chambersburg, PA, and Scott E. Snowberger (wife Lorraine J.) of Germantown, MD; and four grandchildren, Sebastian Snowberger, Lauren Lehman, Kyle Snowberger, and Sabrina Snowberger.
A Memorial Service in honor of Gloria Snowberger will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 2:30 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Bobby Culler will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Rd. West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
