Goldie MacIntire

October 12, 1919 — February 25, 2015

Goldie MacIntire, age 95, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Village of Laurel Run. Born October 12, 1919 in Scotland, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harper and Grace Skinner Gontz. Goldie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert J. MacIntire on November 16, 1970.

Goldie is survived by her daughter, Bonita A. McCleary and husband Bill of Biglerville, PA; 2 grandsons, Brian McCleary and wife Lois and Blake McCleary; 1 granddaughter, Brynn Penney and husband John; eight great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and a sister, Edna Kieffer of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by four siblings, Rachel O’Connor, Jane Cline, Cardinal and Delbert Gontz.

A funeral service to honor Goldie’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 2, 2015 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Linda Summers will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
