Gordon Brown

Gordon Michael “Mike” Brown, age 60, of Chambersburg, PA passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born June 16, 1953 in Japan, he was the son of the late James Gordon and Esther Decker Brown.
A 1971 graduate of the McConnellsburg High School, he went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force, where he learned to be a Surgical Technician. He was employed as a surgical technician at the Chambersburg Hospital, where he served for the last 38 years. Mike was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he enjoyed playing golf, coaching soccer, and fishing.
Surviving are four children, Julie Renee Grant (husband Jonathan) of Chambersburg, PA, Emily Ruth Brown of Pittsburgh, PA, Alexander Michael Brown, and Zachary Michael Brown; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Raymond Barr (wife Helen) of Chambersburg, PA and Kay Stout (husband Randy) of Wernersville, PA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Dr. Lois Waters will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
