Grace Ebersole

Grace W. Ebersole, age 87, of Chambersburg, went to be with her Lord on Friday morning, April 4, 2014 at Menno Haven. Born October 17, 1926 she was a daughter of the late Michael and Jennie Wenger. She was a homemaker most of her life and a member of Chambersburg Mennonite Church. Grace taught Sunday school and Bible classes. She also led a women’s Bible study in Nyesville, PA and wrote two books entitled: “Chronicles of Grace” and “Beside the Still Waters”. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and crocheting.

Grace is survived by her loving husband of almost 63 years, Leroy H. Ebersole whom she married on April 21, 1951; five children, Esther Norris and husband Ben of Radford, VA, Miriam Morrow and husband Mike of Slidell, PA, Sharon Okoniewski and husband Denis of Virginia Beach, VA, Marlin Ebersole and wife Diane of Chambersburg, and Dorcas Ebersole of Shippensburg; six grandsons, Caleb Morrow and wife Chitia of Baton Rouge, LA, Phillip Morrow and wife Julie of Charlotte, NC, Jesse Morrow of New Orleans, LA, Robert Morrow of Louisville, KY, and Paul and David Okoniewski of Virginia Beach, VA; two great-grandchildren, Brendan and Reagan Morrow; seven sisters; three brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Chambersburg Mennonite Church, 1800 Philadelphia Ave. Chambersburg, PA 17201. Rev. Jerry Roth will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Chambersburg Mennonite Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Grace’s name to CROSS, Inc. 712 Pinola Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
